Monogram cards

I wanted to try some monogram cards. This is what I came up with. I also wanted to see how different colors and placement/size of accents affected the overall look. The top one is my first and favorite.

Halloween cat

This is just a quick and simple card, but I thought it turned out cute. The cat and moon are a Sizzix die. The cat is embossed with distressed stripes embossing folder, the moon is D'vine Swirl, the orange patterned paper is embossed with Skeleton Scroll. the cat image is SU Batty for You, M's or W.M. ribbon

This birthday card I made for the girl next door who just turned 5. I hope she likes it! I used retired SU cardstock, HK embosslits die, and SU ticket punch (one of my fav punches!)

Design Team

Hi,everyone! I am very excited to let you all know that I have been invited to be on a design team for whimsicalscrapsandbugs.blogspot.com! I will officially start this in October. I am really excited about this opportunity and hope to learn and create lots of new things to show you. I have added a link to their blog on my website. I think this team will work just great with my Stampin' Up! demonstratorship as well. This is a real honor! I am looking forward to this new creative challenge.

I wanted to use one of the SU new In-Colors. So, I made up a couple of quick cards. I like the top one better with more black showing and inking on the edges.

First glass etching attempt

Here is my first attempt at glass etching with my Cricut (may have to call it electronic die cutting machine after I sign the new SU demo agreement) :( This is a gift. Overall, I am pleased. Next time the bigger dish (one is a low serving bowl) will be rinsed out in the big laundry sink instead of a tiny bathroom sink! The cartridge used here was Storybook.

I wanted to make something with this new Sizzix emboss folder. I like how it turned out, but I don't think I will make another one like this. It was VERY time consuming!

Treat bags for hubby's work

These are the treat bags I have been working on yesterday for my husband to bring to work. He doesn't like stuff to look too frilly/femnine when he hands them out. I used SU Chocolate Chip cardstock (except for a few of them), some orange scraps, and some other patterned paper from a stack I had. They are not fancy, but fit in with a fall theme, I think. Here are a few close ups of the toppers.
