I used the new Great Sport stamp set: http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=124307
and the Holiday Frame embossing folder (in red) and trimmed it to my size:
This time I added a thank you topper and tootsie rolls instead of the lemon heads. Again, the initials are done using the negative of the new Stampin' Up! Bigz Alphabet die cut out of vinyl, and using etching cream (see previous post).
I used the same concept as the J jar in my previous post, but lined the letters all up. The letters ended up curving slightly up and to the right, which turned out kind of fun. I then used all the new 2012 In Color card stock (butterfly punch), ribon, and accessories. I like how it turned out. Just be warned the more letters the more difficult to line them up!
I etched the jar with the negative cut out space from the new Stampin' Up! Bigz Alphabet dies, using removable wall vinyl. You then apply etching cream (found at craft stores - bring a coupon!!), let it sit for awhile (directions say 5 minutes I did 10-15), rinse it off and you have personalized glassware. I really like this technique. The jar topper I had from a previous project.
Whew! I think this is the last one. :) I really like this one - Raspberry Ripple & Whisper White card stock. The embossing folder is the Stripes Folder. I know I was inspired by all of these cards and I hope my followers are as well.
This one was at a workshop. I can't beleive I still don't have this Countryside stamp set. Crushed Curry card stock, DSP is Orchard Harvest p.28 of the Holiday Mini. I will end up with this stamp set one day soon!! Very nice masculine card, I think!
She really spoiled us!! I never know how to use plaid paper, this could make a great masculine birthday card. I'm not positive but I think this is the new 2013 In Color Midnight Muse with the Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon, Stampin' Up! Framelits die for the sentiment.
I think this scarecrow was my absolute favorite! I think she may have been inspired by something she saw but I don't have that link available to share. It uses the Stampin' Up! Top Note Die for the face and the 2 hat pieces. Bird punch on the hat, oval punch for the eyes, free hand triangle & face drawing, inking edges in black, cut strips of cardstock for the hair = totally cute!!!
I have been so busy though I didn't get it uploaded before they had out the next challenge - white, black, and 3 of the 5 new In Colors for 2012! Here is the link to the challenge: http://fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com/2012/09/fab-friday-03.html
I have hundreds (really!) of birthday cards, and only 3 sympathy cards. I really needed some other ones so this is what I came up with. Colors are Baja Breeze, Kraft (Crumb Cake), and Whisper White. I used a cart-us embossing folder Alfred's Birds, Viva Decor light blue pearl pen, white gel pen then covered with Opac Viva Decor pen.
We have such short summers here that I have been spendng as much time outside as possible! I am going to start getting back into crafting now that the temps are cooling down. I still have my Mother's Day cards to post yet, too!

I decided to start back by completing a SCS challenge - 2 of them actually. This is for CAS187 Technique- Blocking and CC392 - Crazy Midnight Pumpkin. I don't have Midnight Muze yet so I use Crazy Cajun, Not Quite Navy, and Pumpkin Pie. Stamp sets used - Gently Falling and Totally Tess.

I haven't done this in so long lots of changes to blogger so let's see how this works!
I got some of those grab bags from several months ago when Stampin' Up! first put them out. I debated about posting these because they aren't my normal style, but I guess they are ok. Perhaps if you got the same grab bag it will give you some ideas, too. All of the die cuts and card bases were included in the grab bag. The white panels and punched pieces I added from my scraps.
I had to try it! This is a new Bigz L purse die that will be available with the Stampin' Up! Summer Smooches. The cardstock is Rich Razzleberry embossed with a SU embossing plate. The DSP on the flap is also Summer Smooches DSP, flower punches & one of the big pearls from the Spring Mini. I included it next to a soda can so you can get an idea of the size. It is not huge by any means, but perfect for a lip gloss, little candies, etc. I have 2 Lindor Truffles inside of it. It is REALLY simple & easy to put together, too.
The designer used Cottage Wall DSP which is the same pattern just different colors as the Sunny Day DSP that I used...couldn't find my Cottage Wall for some reason. You can see one of the cards I used my left over scraps & rotated the design to get another card out of the same package of DSP - just different base colors. The green is Pear Pizzaz I'm not sure why it looks so muted in the picture??

The cards where the Poppy Parade is the main color I also embossed the background with the Lattice folder to mute it and give it a little texture.
(I guess he doesn't much care to give a floral card .. :) ha ha!). I found this open pack of retired DSP (I think maybe it is Manchester?). At first I tried just with Very Vanilla and the Crumb Cake colors but it was too drab. I added the Almost Navy & it gave it a nice pop. The label dies are the new Stampin' Up! framelits. The Almost Navy border down the center is a new EK Success border punch. I think this is quite likely the first time I have actually used Almost Navy!
The challenge was to use rainbows. I made about 12 of the all occasion "hi there" & 12 "Happy Birthday". I have a bunch of this green color to use & since I could basically choose any color in my rainbow I chose the green.. plus it is springy (which I am ready for!). The punched butterfies are Martha Stewart butterfly punches. The embossing folder is called Butterfly Kisses by Crafts Concepts.
I used Real Red cardstock, embossed Whisper White cardstock with the hearts Cuttlebug folder, punched 3" red circles & 2.5" white circles.. put it all together & voila.. done! It only took me an hour or two to make 26 of these. I added a cute little valentine cello bag & some treats - no envelopes they looked so cute with the cards showing.
This DSP is from Sale-A-Bration 2 years ago I belive. I matted the DSP on white & black paper. The die around the sentiment is the new SU Labels Framelits collection. They are very similar concept to other nesting dies. I love them! I also used the SU Doily Triple Layer punch. I added a lot of white dots to coordinate with the dots on the DSP. The color of the DSP is certainly celery, the pink is regal rose. I used scraps of the DSP to decorate the inside with the eyelet border punch & the retired triple blossom punch. I finished the flowers with a black skittle in the middle.
