Birthday & Thank you cards

I first made up some birthday cards. I was trying to use up some of my retired DSP. The red flower is a SU punch, the flower border is a new EK Success deep border punch. The colors are Real Red, Bashful Blue, Old Olive.

Then I wanted to use the Early Espresso/Crumb Cake/Baja Breeze color combo. The crumb cake paper was embossed with the lattice folde inked in either Espresso or Chocolate Chip. It gives it a textured card stock appearance. I love inking this folder! We made a card doing this at my friend & upline's hoouse last weekend & I think this is just a great technique with this folder. I was hoping for a vintage feel to the card, but then realized I should have inked & distressed more.. oh, well! I am still working on trying the vintage style.

Top Note Calendars

I made up some mini desk top calendars for my husband's team at work since they have been really busy lately. The pinks for the gals & the greens for the guys. I think I made about 20 of these in just a few hours.

Butterfly Backyard

I have been busy creating tons of stuff! I will share it all with you shortly. In the meantime I had to show you these pictures. A few days ago during lunch my husband and I watched as dozens maybe up to a hundred monarch butterflys covered the pine trees that line our back yard. I have many more pictures, but here are a few. Aren't they gorgeous?

One folder/one design/ several looks

I saw another demonstrator who had used silver/cream and this design and thought it would look great with other colors, too. I loved that it looked elegant & was simple to make at the same time. I changed up the colors, sentiment, and even embossed a strip of card stock to substitute for ribbon when I didn't have the coordinating color. This uses the new SU Vintage folder.
