A little info about this special day...

National Scrapbook Day was started in 1994 by the well-known album company Creative Memories, and is celebrated on the first Saturday in May. Since 1994 scrap bookers all over the country and world celebrate their passion for Scrapbooking on this day! There are even online groups petitioning the US Government to make National Scrapbook Day a federal holiday!

Have fun on our Cropstop Hop! Make sure to link your completed project here in the Cropstop Blog by the deadline listed above!!

Mother's Day card

I am really liking this color combination lately. I used my new MS Modern Garland PATP set. I really like this set it is fun ad elegant to me. The butterfly is also a MS punch. I used Glimmer mist and pearls on the butterfly. The MOM sentiment is raised with dimensionals. I included a side photo to help you see the dimension. I love, love this ribbon, too!

Summer Mini sneak peek- Fairy card

As soon as I saw this stamp I wanted to use this paper with it. I used Nestabilities circles and scalloped circles. The paper is SU - Cottage Wall DSP, card stock is Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Orchid Opulence (normally I do not like this color at all!). The flower is sprayed with Vanilla Smooch. The image is colored with SU markers. The color is a little off in the pictures, the last picture using more Razzlebery has the lighter purple (Orchid Opulence) more true to color.

Matchbox Dresser

I have been promising my son to make him a Matchbox dresser for awhile now for all of his little treasures. I used K & Co double sided paper for this. I really like the double sided papers, it makes it look like the drawers have a liner in them. I used Spellbinders Labels 8 for the monogram on top of the dresser. I used a die to make the boxes, but you could also use a template or a Cricut cut out as well. One thing I have come to realize for my boy is that less is more - some simple embellishments and he thinks it is great. Try to make something special for that male in your life
